Genova Supercross, Pupils Ready To Surpass!
Genova Supercross, Pupils Ready To Surpass! - Dirt Rider Magazine
11/18/2008

Lights over Genoa are ready to be switched on: the 2008 edition of Fiat Supercross will be rich of interest because of the announced fights among the starting riders, together with the value of the race, which will be the last round of the European Supercross Championship. First of all, the fight between the two most awaited protagonists: two emerging stars of the worldwide supercross: Benjamin Coisy (Honda Martin) and Jason Lawrence (Yamaha Evolution). The first one, other than to be the current leader of the Overall Championship, has shown to be the rising star of the European supercross panorama, able to easily dominate Europeans and American riders. The second one, as West Coast Supercross winner, has been considered a champion with a wild and irrepressible personality, known as genius and madness, always close to his limits both inside and outside the track. Such a challenge is the most awaited one by public and experts, a fight that could redesign the traditional values of the worldwide supercross as well as to register the steps ahead made by the European school learners respect than the American masters. In order to keep high the stars and stripe, there will be another overseas emerging rider, the teenager Michael LaPaglia (Suzuki Valenti), who is exploded in this last two seasons with important results, after winning years in the cadet series. The Genoa race will be also valid as 7th and final round of SX1 Series: a worthy conclusive event in the European Temple of Supercross. We can find several interesting point to focus on! First of all, the vice-champion in charge, Fabien Izoird (Import Suzuki), is second in the classification, just one point behind Coisy, and will be ready to exploit every single little mistake of the marseilles rider, in order to conquer the precious European title, as close to him as last year. Then the very young Marvin Musquin (Team NGS), who is another skilled rider coming from the French school and have already demonstrated to be ready and fast enough to win everywhere as he did in Marseille - race 2. It is forbidden to forget Vongsana (SRS Racing). Another teenager, but skilled enough to win Milan (EICMA) in such easy way to show to be a real performer of the supercross jumps. At the end, it is not to forget the French riders who lighted all the European Championship along, thanks to Demartis (Honda France - twice third one in Assago)., Lopes (Kawasaki - third place in Bilbao), Berthome (TM Racing) or the almost italinised Mike Valade, always classified in the final. Regarding to Italian riders, there will be Bonini (Yamaha), winner in Marseille and everytime on the podium until now. Besides him, Dami (Honda PVD Racing), regular as usually, but unlucky in many situations, and a group of young emerging riders leaded by the sixteen years old Luca Pellegrini (Suzuki Castellari), finalist for two times. Finally there will also be the terrible juniors participating the SX Junior: young supercross rider will to show their skills, in order to improve and dream about the European title in the SX1 class. Even for them it will be the final round deciding the winner of this first edition of the SX Junior, which has been an important experience to reply and enlarge, in order to assure the generation turnover among the supercross specialists. Monticelli is still the leader in classification, but Croci, Zecchina, Cucini and the French one Irsuti are ready to win in Genoa and to become the 2008 SXJunior Champion. The demonstration that Supecross Series has progressively grown up in terms of quality and importance, even because of the presence of riders coming form several European countries, usually far away from the most prestigious arenas: in example it will be the first time in Genoa for a Russian young rider, Lebedev (Yamaha), another promise at the supercross court! Such a particularity is demonstrating the great work made by Off Road Pro Racing all around Europe, in order to sustain and promote Supercross as a discipline deep inside the supporter’s and mainly riders’ hearts.

Breakfast Of Champions - Revealed!
Revealed! - Dirt Rider Magazine
We thought it was Wheaties. We were wrong.

Earlier today we received a note from Don Amador reminding us about the Blue Ribbon Coalition’s (BRC) fund-raising auction and annual Breakfast of Champions event. As off-road riders and motocross fanatics we’re big fans of the BlueRibbon Coalition and all trail advocacy groups and programs (you should be, too). After all, they’re on the front lines in the fight for land-use rights. Without land, we can’t ride.
